What it is
RunCabinPort is RunCabin's website-move checker. When a business owner, or the AI assistant working for them, asks RunCabin whether their existing website could move to RunCabin, RunCabinPort reads that site's public pages once to answer: what the site is built on, how many pages it has, and which features would or wouldn't come over.
It sends this user agent: RunCabinPort/1.0 (+https://runcabin.com/bot)
What it reads, and what it doesn't
- Your robots.txt first, then your home page, your sitemap, and at most seven more pages from it.
- Only pages anyone can see. It never logs in, fills in forms, or reads anything behind a password.
- No photos or files are downloaded, and no page text is kept: RunCabin keeps only counts and names (for example "built on Wix, 9 pages, one contact form") for a day.
- It follows links only on your own site.
How often it visits
Only when someone asks about your site, at most one request a second, and at most three checks of the same domain a day. If your site answers 403 or 429, it stops.
How to block it
RunCabinPort follows robots.txt (RFC 9309). To keep it out of your whole site, add:
User-agent: RunCabinPortDisallow: /
If your robots.txt can't be read because your server is failing, RunCabinPort reads nothing.
