How to put your website online from Muse, Meta's AI agent
October 14, 2026 · 7 min read
To put your business website online from Muse, Meta's AI agent, add RunCabin to Muse as a custom connector at https://runcabin.com/mcp, sign in on RunCabin's page, and ask Muse to publish. The site goes live at a free RunCabin address with HTTPS, and Muse can keep it up to date from then on. Hosting is free on that address, or $4.99 a month or $47.99 a year on your own domain, plus the domain's price.
This post is for owners who use Muse and want their website handled the same way: by asking. If you build or run agents yourself, the technical overview is on our page about website hosting for AI agents.
What is Muse, and what does it need to put a website online?
Muse is Meta's AI agent, introduced in September 2026. It runs in the Muse app, in WhatsApp and at muse.ai, for adults (18 and over) in the US and Canada. Meta says Muse for Small Business can also connect your Facebook Page, your Instagram professional analytics and your Meta ad accounts.
Muse can write a page, but putting it online at a real address takes a host, and for your own .com, a domain. Muse reaches other services through connectors. RunCabin isn't one of the connectors Meta lists, but you can add it yourself as a custom connector. That is how RunCabin connects.
Muse has its own browser, so it could sign up for a host, upload files and change domain settings step by step. With RunCabin connected, publishing is one request that comes back with the live https address.
How to add RunCabin to Muse as a custom connector
You do this once. The route Meta documents for a custom connector is to ask Muse in a chat.
- Ask Muse to create a custom connector. For example: "Create a custom connector for RunCabin. It is an MCP server at https://runcabin.com/mcp, over Streamable HTTP, and it signs in with OAuth."
- Sign in on RunCabin's page. When RunCabin's sign-in page opens, sign in with Google or email and approve the connection. The approval screen shows the app's name and the address it sends you back to; approve only if you started this from Muse and that address belongs to Meta. Your first sign-in creates your free RunCabin account. If you're new and use email, RunCabin first emails you a link to confirm your address; open it, then ask Muse to connect again. Signing in with Google skips that step.
- Set your approvals in Muse. In Muse's Settings, you choose when Muse asks for your approval before it acts. For your website, having Muse ask before each action it takes with RunCabin is a sensible choice.
If Muse asks for an API key instead of opening a sign-in page, you can create one at runcabin.com/keys; if your account has no name and address yet, that page asks for them first. Tell Muse to send it as a Bearer token. A key is shown once and works until you revoke it on the same page.
Meta does not review custom connectors, so add only services you trust. RunCabin is not endorsed by Meta. Our agent hosting page lists how each app connects, Muse included, and the setup page has the Muse steps, plus setup for Claude and coding tools.
What to ask Muse to do
Once RunCabin is connected, try requests like these, and read what Muse tells you before you approve.
- "Make a one-page website for my business and put it online." RunCabin replies with the live https address and a short list of anything to fix, such as an image without alt text, which Muse can fix and publish again to the same address.
- "Change my Saturday hours to 8 to 2." Muse can read the page that is live now, change just the hours and publish it to the same address.
- "Add a contact form that emails me." Messages are stored and emailed to you, and Muse can read them back when you ask who wrote in.
- "Show me a preview before you publish." Muse can stage the new version at a preview address and make it live once you have looked. A preview address isn't private: anyone with the link can open it.
- "Roll back the last publish." Every publish is a new version and earlier ones are kept, so the version before serves again.
- "Put the site on my own domain." Checking a name and its price is free. To buy it, you get a link to RunCabin's order page, where you review the order, sign in and pay; registration, DNS and HTTPS are then set up for you. For a domain you already own, the link starts hosting and you add two records at your provider.
Using Muse for Small Business with your Facebook Page
If your Facebook Page is connected to Muse, you can try asking it to use what is already there:
- "Use my Facebook Page's hours, description and contact details to make my website."
- "My hours changed on Facebook. Update the website to match."
RunCabin gives every connected agent a build guide, and one of its rules is to put on the page only facts the owner gave, never invented reviews or ratings. If your Page is out of date, the site will be too, so ask Muse to show you a preview first and read it before it goes live.
What stays in your control
- Money. RunCabin never charges you through Muse. Anything paid comes back as a checkout link that you open, review and pay yourself. If Muse offers to open the checkout and pay for you, read the total it shows before you approve. A hosting link for a domain you already own expires after 24 hours, and Muse can ask for a new one.
- Approvals. Meta's own line about Muse for Small Business is that "nothing publishes, sends, or spends without your approval." For a custom connector like RunCabin, whether Muse asks first depends on the permission you choose in Muse's Settings.
- Access. Muse gets a sign-in token for RunCabin (or an API key, if you create one for it), never your password, and it reaches only the sites on your own account. Disconnect it at runcabin.com/keys, and it is signed out everywhere immediately; a key you made for it is revoked on the same page.
- Mistakes. A bad publish rolls back in one request. Four things stay done even after a rollback: deleting a site (its form messages go with it), replacing an uploaded image or font, swapping your domain, and changing where email forwards. Read those requests before you approve them.
- Secrets. A publish that contains a recognizable secret key, such as a Stripe or OpenAI key, is refused before anything is written.
- Your domain. A domain you connect serves only after a TXT record proves it's yours. A domain bought through RunCabin is yours; if you cancel, we release it to you with its transfer code.

What it costs
Free: publishing and hosting on a RunCabin address, with HTTPS, forms that email you, visit counts and older versions for rollback. No card and no time limit.
On your own domain: hosting is $4.99 a month or $47.99 a year (yearly saves $11.89 over paying monthly), plus the domain's price, shown before you pay. On a domain bought through RunCabin, forwarding an address like hello@yourdomain.com to your inbox and adding TXT records come at no extra charge. Muse's own plans are separate and set by Meta.
Every page carries a small "Built with RunCabin" badge, on your own domain too. Cancel at runcabin.com/cancel: hosting runs to the end of the period you paid for, then your custom domain stops serving and the free address keeps working.
Where your site runs
Every site RunCabin hosts runs in Hetzner's Falkenstein data center park in Germany, on 100% renewable electricity from certified hydropower, which Hetzner has used since 2008. It costs you nothing extra. We make no carbon claim beyond that. How we checked.

Questions
Can Muse build and host a website?
Muse can write the pages, but it needs a host to put them online. With RunCabin added as a custom connector, Muse can publish your site to a free RunCabin address with HTTPS and keep it up to date.
Does Muse need my password?
No. You sign in with Google or email on RunCabin's own page, and Muse gets a sign-in token for RunCabin, not your password. If Muse asks for an API key instead, you create one at runcabin.com/keys. Either way, you can take its access back at runcabin.com/keys at any time.
Can Muse buy a domain for me?
It can check whether a name is available and what it costs, for free, and then give you a checkout link. You open the link, review the order and pay yourself. RunCabin never charges you through Muse.
Is RunCabin in Muse's connector list?
No. You add RunCabin yourself as a custom connector by asking Muse to connect to https://runcabin.com/mcp. Meta does not review custom connectors, and RunCabin is not endorsed by Meta.
Can I undo a change Muse made to my website?
Yes, if it was a publish. Every publish is kept, so Muse can roll the site back to the version before. Deleting a site, replacing an uploaded image or font, swapping your domain and changing where email forwards are not undone by a rollback.
How much does it cost to host a website from Muse?
Nothing on a free RunCabin address. On your own domain, hosting is $4.99 a month or $47.99 a year, plus the domain's price, shown before you pay. Muse's own plans are separate and set by Meta.
