Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2, 2026

1. Who We Are

RunCabin ("we", "us", "our") is an e-commerce store provisioning service operated by Ryan Mergen, based in Baltimore, MD. By using our service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2. The Service

RunCabin provisions and hosts e-commerce stores on your behalf. When you become a customer, we will:

  • Set up a dedicated server and deploy your store
  • Configure your domain, SSL, and transactional email
  • Provide ongoing hosting for a monthly subscription fee

Your store runs on infrastructure we provision. You own your store's data, customer list, and content — we just keep the lights on.

3. Payments & Billing

Billing is handled securely through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis. You may cancel at any time.

If a payment fails, we will attempt to notify you. Continued non-payment may result in suspension of your store. We will provide reasonable notice before any such action.

4. Cancellation & What Happens After

You can cancel your subscription at any time — no hoops, no gotchas. When you cancel:

  • Your server keeps running until the end of your paid billing period
  • Your store, customer data, and files remain intact on your server
  • After the billing period ends, we stop managing the server — it stays up but maintenance is your responsibility

We do not delete your server or data when you cancel. You own the infrastructure that was built for you.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use RunCabin to:

  • Sell illegal products or services
  • Distribute malware, spam, or engage in phishing
  • Violate the intellectual property rights of others
  • Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

6. Your Data & Ownership

You own your store's data — your products, customers, orders, and content. We will never sell your data or use it for any purpose other than operating your store. You can export or migrate your data at any time.

7. Uptime & Availability

We aim for high availability but cannot guarantee 100% uptime. Scheduled maintenance, infrastructure outages, or events outside our control may cause temporary unavailability. We will make reasonable efforts to minimize downtime and communicate planned maintenance in advance.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RunCabin shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of revenue, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the service.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We'll do our best to notify active customers of significant changes.
